SPNHL, Season 36: Conference Finals – Players of the Week

Welcome to Players of the Week: Conference Finals Edition. We have finally made it to the final 2. 8 teams started in the playoffs, only 1 will come out of this week happy. The Calgary Flames and the in my opinion favourited Boston Bruins will go toe to toe to determine who will win the Stanley Cup. Before we get there though, here are the players who propelled their teams into the finals. 
 
Forwards: 
DeathClxwn: 4 GP, 8 G, 11 A, 19 P, 4.8 PPG, +6, 76 GV, 13 TK.
The most important player in the finals. If he plays, Boston wins the cup. If he misses 3 games, it’s going to be a lot tougher for the Bruins. DeathClxn in 4 games against New Jersey had 8 goals and 11 assists, good for 19 points. He led all forwards this week in assists, points and points per game. The New Jersey defence couldn’t stop him and I’m not so sure if the Calgary defence can either.

Whitetees41: 5 GP, 11 G, 6 A, 17 P, 3.4 PPG, +6, 45 GV, 19 TK.
Capitalsfan_08: 3 GP, 7 G, 6 A, 13 P, 4.3 PPG, +3, 33 GV, 4 TK.
Fluri37: 5 GP, 4 G, 9A, 13 P, 2.6 PPG, +5, 57 GV, 18 TK.
 
Defence: 
DudNastyy: 4 GP, 0 G, 6 A, 6 P, 1.5 PPG, +12, 37 GV, 16 TK
Dudnasty is the second Boston player this week to get player of the week and for good reason. They completely wiped out a very strong team and potentially a cup favourite in New Jersey in short order. DudNasty was the guy for Boston on defence. Not only did he do very well defensively with 16 takeaways, he chipped in 6 assists to the offence to help propel the Bruins to the finals.

sabres1414: 4 GP, 0 G, 3 A, 3 P, 0.8 PPG, +4, 20 GV, 11 TK.
 
Goalie:
Eddie2708_: 5 GP, 4-1, .810 SV%, 2.4 GAA, 0 SO.
Eddie gets his first player of the week this season and he earned it, helping his Calgary Flames team get to the finals. He is going to need another stellar performance in the finals in order for the Flames to win the cup. Boston will have attackers from everywhere and Eddie is going to need to be on his game. With an .810 save percentage in round 2, if he at least matches that, he will give Calgary a chance to win the cup.
