1st period:

a quick succession allows the avalanche to net one early for a 1-0 lead.
but an undisciplined 5 on 3 allows OTT to recover quickly and tie it back at 1 each.
Ott grabs a 2-1 lead with 6 mins left but Pliskin answers back only 4 mins later to tie it at 2.

2nd period:

A rough misquote by the avs d allow for a breakaway for OTT to take their lead back 3-2. Avs allow another penalty which results in another one for OTT.. The avs find themselves deep in penalty trouble but manage to stop the bleeding long enough to catch a breath while trailing 4-2.

3rd period:

Period start with a great chance by the avs by the goalie comes up big with some D help. but the avs do get one back off a broken play.

Once again colorado find themselves in more penalty trouble but kill them off.

Ott takes a rare penalty 5 mins left and the avs manage to tie it up.

The avalanche celebration was cut short as reapz found himself on the positive end of an ea bounce after getting his own rebound on an open goal after his initial shot ricochet off of two defenders back to his stick.
In the dieing seconds Coffey decides the puck is too hot and waves his stick at it to cool it down while trying to slap it down the ice allowing Ott to scoop it up and put it past the avs goaltender to stick it to them 6-4 final.
