SPSN GOTN: FLAMES Vs BLUES

Welcome to SPSN’S GOTN,
Tonight we feature the Calgary Flames (14-11-2) and the St Louis Blues (8-19-0).
St Louis looks to get back on their feet tonight against an already established Calgary Flames, these two teams look to meet on the pond in what could be a make or break for the Blues season, let’s look at the tale of the tape.
Calgary Flames-
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
TRUELEGEND07:24gp 32g 36a 68pts
REDFLAG33 :18gp 27g 37a 60pts
The Flames look to build on their last win with a win against the last place St Louis Blues but don’t rely totally on whats on paper because the Blues have nothing to lose and are hungrier than ever. They will look to TrueLegend and Redflag once again to bring them out of St Louis with the W, they will also have help from itsfelt tonight on the wing as itsfelt will try to QB the play tonight. Look for a scoring frenzy if things remain hot in Flames land.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
CAPTAINCANADA21:10gp 0g 7a 10pts -18
TOMMYBOIII:11gp 2g 5a 7pts +15
Tommyboiii will be leading the way with Captaincanada tonight,  These two are more than capable of shutting down the Blues as each has a dynamic range of talent they will have to bring to the table tonight. Look for these 2 to play a shutdown role with minimal pinching.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
Chicks-n-whips: 769sv% 3.00gaa 4W
Chicks will be looking for his 5th win in 7 games tonight, hes holding on to a 769sv% with 4 wins as the Flames tender. He will have his hands full tonight as his Defense is going to have to back him up with by being good positionally and sound in their own end. Chicks has been holding the fort and is looking for the opportunity to shine in tonights GOTN.

St Louis Blues:
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
DEADANT:11gp 5g 16a 21pts
XI-Karma-_-IX:11gp 7g 12a 19pts
St Louis will have to get a boost from their forwards Volcmhero7 & Deadant tonight, Al_Bundy will be part of the firing squad tonight as they will try to light up Chicks n Whips between the pipes. Deadant is an SP veteran and has been in this situation before but his calmness and respect for the game will resonate with his linemates which should provide positive results.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
EL_R_O_O_K_I_E : 8gp 1g 10a 11pts
THE_GANG_SHOOTER : 9gp 1g 5a 6pts
The Blues defense is going to be front and center for the Flames shooting gallery tonight, El and redconcept are going to have to communicate and work together if they want to extinguish this flames offense. The talent is there, the drive is there but is the mental toughness going to be enough to be stay disciplined through tonight’s game? we’ll have to find out.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
BMARCHE2001  : 7gp 716sv% 3.86gaa
Bmarche is going to have to be on top of his game against the flames, he is currently boasting a 716sv% with a 3.86gaa which isn’t the best but if he wants to turn his season around, now is his chance to do it. His D will have to back him up and play structurally if they want to have any chance of beating the flames.

WORDS OF WISDOM:
Though Calgary is higher in the standings, we all know it only takes a good week to turn your season around. The Flames cannot go into this game thinking the Blues are a pushover or it’s over before it even started. This should be an interesting game to watch and you can see it all live here, on SPSN.

SPSN GOTN: DUCKS VS AVALANCHE

Welcome to SPSN’S GOTN,
Tonight’s GOTN features two teams moving in two different directions. It’s the Ducks of Anaheim Vs the Colorado Avalanche.
Anaheim Ducks-
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
REAPER2313 :19gp 23g 26a 49pts
KIDMON3Y :19gp 18g 25a 43pts
The Ducks have been one of the teams to beat this season, not only do they have firepower upfront, they have an offensive-defensive core to back the already deadly scoring core of the Ducks. Kidmon3y and Reaper have been playing together for the majority of there SPNHL careers, and have built a chemistry that can only be achieved with as much playing time as these two have. Cookie man also joins the fold with 33pts to his name, he has been the catalyst that runs this line and with newly acquired Jordyman this Duck offense looks like a wrecking ball in the west.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
DOUGCBJ :14gp 4g 10a 14pts +10
M1keal :11 2g 6a 8pts +22
When you think Defense, 2 time Norris trophy winner DOUGCBJ comes to mind. He’s currently sitting at a +10 with 14 pts in as many games Doug is right on pace picking up where he left off…winning. He’s not alone, two way defensemen M1keal is his right-hand man, these two together create quite the dynamic duo when facing the opposition’s offense.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
VeZzZy I30I : 857sv% 2.04gaa 14W
It’s in his name, Vezzzy is arguably the best goaltender in the SPNHL, boasting 14 wins with a sold 857 sv% with a 2.06gaa with a league leading 3 shutouts. Vezzzy has been a wall for the Ducks this season having them win some games they had no business winning. He is in the running for the Vezina Trophy already this season and only looks to get better. This master of the crease has been compared to Carey Price and childhood hero Martin Brodeur. The Avalanche are going to have to bring the heat to beat my Vezzzy tonight.

Colorado Avalanche:
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
IvanThygreat :15gp 16g 14a 30pts
Deathclown27 :16gp 11g 19a 30pts
Colorado’s offense comes into tonight’s game trying to get this team back on track after two back to back loses. Ivan and Death are more than capable of pulling the job off, these two have been consistent scorers during this season with no intentions of stopping now. Etthan has also been part of the scoring trend in Colorado, hitting 24pts last game and looking to help fuel the offense tonight against the Ducks.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
MIKETHENEF : 19gp 1g 7a 8pts
EGGMAN : 13gp 1g 6a 7pts
Colorado’s Defense has been struggling somewhat in the past string of games sitting at -17. They do show promise though and will have to redeem tonight after losing 2 in a row. Eggman is a longtime vet and will surely find his way back while bringing his defensive core along with him for the ride.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
JHONNY_PHONNY  : 12gp 818sv% 2.58gaa
Jhonny has been holding the fort in the Mile High city, boasting an 818 sv% with a decent 2.58gaa. Jhonny is also noted as a top-tier goaltender in the league and looks to hold this ailing Avalanche team back on its feet. Jhonny has a solid VH and is the Ducks best penalty killer. Look for Jhonny to put pressure on Anaheim by leaving them nothing to shoot at.

WORDS OF WISDOM:
Though these teams are heading in two different directions, directions were made to be broken. Tonight could be the turning point or the downfall for both teams. Though the Ducks are looking great on paper, never underestimate an avalanche.
Be sure to see it all tonight at on SPSN.

GOTN: HAWKS V.S. Flames

Welcome to the newly branded SPSN,
Tonight’s GOTN consist of two western conference teams finding their place early in this SPNHL season. Both teams host some of the top scorers in the league alongside some elite Defense, let’s take a closer look at these soon to be rivals.

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS:
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
ACK-stonerboy :18gp 28g 57pts
Fishhure :17gp 22g 56pts
Blackhawks are well aware they have the talent up front to get the job done, 113 pts between two of their players is just the beginning of what may be nightmares for opposing defenses to come. It’s going to be a long 60 minutes for Calgary’s defense tonight, get the popcorn ready.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
FIVESTARCOOCK : 2g 16a 18pts
Fivestar is no stranger to the limelight, he’s racked up 18pts already this season, as his presence alongside Fishhure and ACK seem to be quite the conglomerate not only regular strength but the pp too. Let’s see if he can keep up the pace and shut the flames core down.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
GAMERGOD95 : 736.8 sv% 3.44Gaa
Gamergod is riding 11 wins, he’s in the zone and he has the defense to backstop in front of him, it’s the perfect storm right now behind the blue line in Chi Town. Gamergods experience between the pipes is veteran status as he looks to take Chicago deep into the season.

CALGARY FLAMES:
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
REDFLAG33 :11gp 22g 44pts
TRUELEGEND07 :15gp 19g 40pts
Calgary has some scoring power of their own, Redflag and Truelegend have been giving teams bad dreams for a week, both reach the 40pt plateau early in the season. The dynamic duo looks to get on the scoring chart early, are they able to do it? guess we’ll see tonight but my consensus says they can.

DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN:
NOWELBABY : 6gp 1g 6 7pts
SPORTSGEEK : 5gp 3g 6a 9pts
Calgary’s defense holds Nowel and Sports, interestingly enough Nowel is a stud forward who has decided to take the defensive route and it holding the fort alongside sportsgeek. These two better double tape those shinnies because it’s going to be a long night trying to keep up to Chicago’s offense tonight. Look for these two to play a box out strategy in the neutral zone to try and eliminate the Hawks quick transitional entry.

BETWEEN THE PIPES:
PNCPARK :2k1 742 sv% 2.83 gaa
PNC has shared some of the load with Sport, but his time between the pipes sees him with 4 wins and a 2.83 gaa. He has been consistent but tonight will be quite the test for him as he’s going against a couple top ten rope rippers, his flashy style may come in handy tonight as some highlight saves may need to be in order tonight.

WORDS OF WISDOM:
These two still have a lot to prove and tonight just may be the first of many battles, as it is written Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories. Good luck to both teams tonight.
Be sure to see it all tonight at 9est, on SPSN.

Condensed game tutorial.

Hey guys a few people have asked how to do it so i will give you a quick break down and help you guy get the hang of condensed game creations that can be found here https://thespnhl.com/game-highlights-condensed-games/
Keep in mind that this process will work while streaming but it is not required.
-on the controller to the left of the touch pad is the Share button.
-If you double tap it quickly the PS4 will begin recording the next 15 mins.
-If you double tap a second time it will stop and save the clip to your hard drive.
-i recommend doing this for each period so you have three separate clips to work with.
once the game finishes and you have your saved clips proceed to open/download share factory which can be downloaded from the playstation store (its free).
-turn the app on and select new project. follow the instructions it gives you.
-it will ask you to select all the clips you wish to edit that are on your hard drive. select all portions of the game you are editing.
-experiment with the tools on the program to edit and condense the game.
-all you really need is to hit Square to give you the tools option.
-use the split clip option, this will allow you to split the clip into two clips. one clip is the dead film to be removed and the other is the play you want to highlight. you can delete the bad clip by pressing square. make sure the portion you are deleting is not attached to anything you wish to keep. if you delete it you can always use one of the tools to restore the entire clip to start over again.
once the clip is done, hit Circle to back out of the tool menu. hit menu button on the controller (start button) this will allow you to save it.
once saved click triangle to share it and it will begin to finalize the video. once this process finishes you will be asked to select your preferred website to upload to. select it and it will begin uploading to that site. Log onto that site and find your video copy and paste the link and send it to SA_Pliskin to embed onto the site. Good luck!

Western Conference Breakdown

Written by – Anon.
Anaheim Ducks:
Reaper and Kidmoney are one of SP’s long-time duos, and have a Cup to their name. However that championship is becoming a long distant memory, as since their Cup win, Reaper’s teams have more often than not floated around in pretender territory, having yet to even return to the finals since. This season I fear may not be much different. VeZzZy is arguably the best goaltender in the league, but I’m not sold on their D. DougCBJ and M1keal are known to be very aggressive defenseman, but in a Dustin Byfuglien kind of way rather than a Shea Weber kind of way. If they can’t help themselves from taking themselves out of position looking for hits, Vezzzy is gonna have a lot on his plate, and incredible as he is, he’s not impregnable. Snach and Kronwall as their #3 and #4 are completely uninspiring and won’t have much success cleaning up any mess left by Doug and M1k. However offensively, this team should be fairly strong, as Kid and Reap’s teams always are. Their third wheel this season will likely alternate between prodigytolegend (formerly known as No-Limit) and Loyalty_Caper. Skilled players, though they have their warts. They success of this team hinges on M1k and Doug playing less reckless defense. If they can get that under control, Anaheim will do some damage. If they can’t, well, they’ll still be doing damage, but it’ll be to themselves.
Offense: B/B+
Defense: B-
Goaltending: A
Calgary Flames:
Sportsgeek5 held on to the trusty, former Cup-winning duo of TrueLegend07 and redflag33 going into this season, but beyond those 2 re-signs, it doesn’t look like he made a ton of other notably good decisions. He took AAli-21 with his 1st round pick, who had an impressive although limited showing at D his last time out, but has moved to RW this season, and I’m not sure if he has the chops to meaningfully contribute to that top line. I don’t suspect he’ll be moving back to D as Calgary has a bevy of solid d-men at their disposal in ttommyboiii, PNCpark2k1 and most notably Dangles4days. I expect PNC and Dangles to be their top pair as tommy’s availability isn’t everything it could be this season. Though solid as they are, I’m not convinced either of them are guys you can build a D-core around. I think Dangles is fantastic though and very underrated and I would not be surprised if he made me eat copious amounts of crow on that last sentence. The crease will apparently be shared between sportsgeek himself (who is also a respectable d-man) and chicks-n-whips. Admittedly a goaltending tandem I don’t have an enormous amount of faith in. sportsgeek can be great, but he’s also very inconsistent, and chicks-n-whips hasn’t been particularly reliable up to now throughout his SP career. Dangles is gonna have to play Norris-caliber defense, or one of these goalies will need to have an epic coming-out party if this team is gonna keep their GA down to manageable levels. Beyond the established vets, I’m not seeing a ton of promise in the rookies, at least the ones I know of. Frody16 and xx_cinema_xx are decent but not enough to effectively augment Red and True, and I’ve heard rather unflattering things about Full_melt707. All in all, I think Calgary may struggle this season. True and red are excellent, but they can only do so much.
Offense: B
Defense: B
Goaltending: C/C+
Chicago Blackhawks:
FivepointOHHH returns as GM, though Fivestarcoock is the architect behind this team. Arguably the strongest team in the West, and one of the strongest in the league. Their starting 5 skaters are as good as any in the league, likely running Fishhure-ACK-stonerboy-Hartysauce up front with studword and Fivetstar himself at D. The only question mark is in net. Gamergod is a respectable goalie, but certainly not on par with the aforementioned 5 skaters, and though I know xTreeOfLife is quite highly touted in Chicago, his availability may keep him from emerging as this team’s starter. But regardless, with a starting 5 that strong, this team only needs average goaltending to dismantle their opposition, and Gamergod is more than capable of providing that.
Offense: A
Defense: B/B+
Goaltending: B-/B
Colorado Avalanche:
Eggman, Etthan and Ivan, the eternal menage a trois, return to Colorado this season with an interesting team absolutely brimming with potential. 5//11 players here are rookies, and I expect at least two of them to make a name for themselves, with one being an early Calder favourite. olPope and j_marz I would expect to be very important to this team, and I’m sure Egg is counting on j_marz to help catalyze their offense. Eggman will be anchoring the defense as per usual, but unless mikethenef or Fuzzy_Blues are a better D-man than he is, the Avs will be fairly middling in that respect. They do have Jhonny_Phonny backstopping them, a fantastic goalie in his own right who’ll surely be stealing a couple wins, but the defense in front of him may not be enough to help mitigate any off-nights he may have. Egg has been a very competent GM throughout his entire tenure in SP and almost never fails to ice a competitive team and this season will likely be no different. But to that same end, he has never won himself a cup as a GM either. His teams always look great on paper, but never deliver the goods. We’ll see if he can end the drought with this latest edition of the Avalanche.
Offense: B/B+
Defense: B-/B
Goaltending: B+
Dallas Stars:
Right off the bat Avng made a splash at the draft in trading the 3rd overall pick plus some later picks in exchange for reigning Vezina winning Holdfast308, thereby solidifying his goaltending. Or… so he thinks. This may be an unpopular opinion, but, suffice to say, but I think Holdfast quite notably overachieved last season (thanks in part to an extremely strong Florida Panthers, now NYR, team) and I don’t expect he has another Vezina-caliber season in him. There were better options available, especially considering the draft position and I think Avng would have been better off going for one of them (VeZzZy, aka Jatty, or Jhonny_Phonny to name two) and keeping the extra picks. Beyond that, Avng has assembled a nice collection of players, but no real game-breakers in my opinion. I don’t see a true #1 forward or a true #1 defenseman; I see a bunch of, albeit skilled, ultimately complementary players. To put it another way: there’s no one on Dallas I wouldn’t like to have on my team, but also no one I’d want to build my team around. This team has talent and lots of depth, but not the pieces to put them over the top. Don’t sleep on them, but don’t lose sleep over them either.
Offense: B
Defense: B-
Goaltending: B-/B
Los Angeles Kings:
LA is going to be very interesting to watch as they have a lot of question marks, but the potential is quite clearly there. YourMudder was one of the top goalies in SP last season, though in only 25 games. GM MrLOLChico and Sanke_-_Plisskin will comprise their top D-pair. Chico is an inconsistent d-man and Plisskin may end up having to do most of the heavy lifting here, but I feel he should be up to it. On offense, they have a number of skilled pieces. Their most notable name is u_1_2_b_me, who plays every forward position and plays them all well. Alongside him will be mclub326 (taken 12th overall, a very productive player in LG) and then a revolving door of Slivers311, Triggatrey and RickRage. Triggatrey made a name for himself on last season’s Florida Panthers playing D alongside Dangles4Days (and later Cuban1616). He didn’t put up great numbers on D, so it’ll be interesting to see how the offense translates to his new post at RW. RickRage has decent career numbers in SP but nothing to write home about. This team might be best served moving Trey back to D and playing him with Snake, thereby relegating Chico to the secondary duties. The name to watch here may be Slivers311, who is unknown in leagues as far as I know, but if I’m not mistaken is one of the top EASHL players in the world. Taken in the 3rd round, he may be LA’s secret weapon, so to speak. If Mclub and Slivers can be the players I believe they can be, the rest of the league may have their hands full lining up against them. There’s a lot of potential here. If they can develop chemistry, the Kings…. I was about to say “may get their crown” but I would never say something that stupid. They’ll be good, is the point.
Offense: B/B+
Defense: B-/B
Goaltending: B
St. Louis Blues
El_Rookie is staying in St. Louis for a second season in a row, and for a second season in a row he’ll probably be finding himself in last place come season’s end. The only players I find notable here are Al_Bundy, Redconcept (who was taken 1st overall), dsmitty and VinceT13. Though regarding Vince, I only know him as a (quite talented) forward, but he’s signed on to play RD here, and I can’t speak to his defensive capabilities. In any case, as good a goalie as Redconcept is (and he is very, very good, make no mistake), i think El made a significant misstep taking him 1st overall. This team has holes everywhere, except in net, which is a position Al_Bundy has played and done so with great success. In my opinion, he should’ve kept Bundy in net and taken pretty much anyone else with that pick. In fairness though, Bundy and dsmitty have played together a long time (real life friends as well if I’m not mistaken) and have excellent chemistry, so these 2 could take their opposition by surprise if they get complacent. Overall though, this team is basically just unremarkable depth pieces from top to bottom outside of a small handful of players – an issue compounded by strangely and needlessly having 15 players on the team when the minimum roster size in 10. Perhaps El is hoping for some kind of offense/defense-by-committee thing to unfold here, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Here’s to making a better 1st overall pick next draft.
Offense: C-
Defense: D
Goaltending: B+
Vegas Golden Knights:
Sergein and SA_Pliskin (otherwise known as our supreme overlord) are another one of SP’s iconic duos, but for as long as they’ve been together, they have nothing to show for it. This team looks similar to Dallas in that they have a lot of nice pieces but none to put them over the top, but with the important distinction that those pieces aren’t even as nice. This almost exact same offense struggled against a questionable San Jose (now Pittsburgh) team in the playoffs last season and, despite winning, went on to get crushed in the following round. The D is improved, likely running Way2Goal and OG_KJ as their top pairing, but I don’t think they’ll be enough to lift Vegas out of bubble territory. The one saving grace of this team could be if Pliskin moves back in net, as, in my opinion, he was unquestionably the best goalie in the SPNHL in his prime. If not, starting duties may fall squarely too XCapemysch–long, who has a nice stat-line in LG. Might not be enough to keep this team competitive, though. So unless they’re hiding a diamond among their rookie crop, I anticipate Vegas’ inaugural SP season will be about as productive as their real-life counterparts’.
Offense: B-
Defense: B
Goaltending: ? / total wild card at this point
———-
All in all, I think the west in Chicago’s to lose. But the order of the remaining 7 spots is anyone’s guess (unless they guess STL to finish anywhere but last, then they’ve guessed wrong). My guess is as follows:
1. Chicago Blackhawks
2. Colorado Avalanche
3. Anaheim Ducks
4. Los Angeles Kings
5. Dallas Stars
6. Calgary Flames
7. Vegas Golden Knights
8. St. Louis Blues
